For science and precisionTo improve the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic at imported cold chain food (including edible agricultural products, the same below) ports, consolidate the results of epidemic prevention and control, and ensure the safety of the industrial chain and supply chain, the General Administration of Customs has decided to further optimize and improve the epidemic prevention and control measures at imported cold chain food ports. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

1. Customs conducts new coronavirus verification on imported cold chain foodAcid monitoring and testing, based on the test results, inspect and investigate the pollution prevention measures of the exporting country (region) in accordance with the law to confirm whether the safety management system and safety conditions of the exporting country (region) continue to meet China's import requirements. For overseas food production enterprises with problems, take measures such as rectification within a time limit, suspension of imports, and cancellation of registration in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Second, imported cold chain foods that are positive for the nucleic acid of the new coronavirus will be classified and disposed of in accordance with the relevant provisions of the guidelines issued by the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council.

This announcement will be implemented from the date of issuance, and the General Administration of Customs Announcement No. 103 of 2020 will be abolished at the same time.
